In early 2009, Kuanta acquired and renovated a 12-year-old, 7-story, 3,200 square meter office building in order to relocate its corporate headquarters to accommodate a growing staff.

Kuanta’s board of directors assigned an independent consulting agency to monitor all phases of the project, and approved a fast track design-build process.

Kuanta brought the building up to code and created a comfortable work environment suitable for 50+ personnel and reflective of the company culture.

In the course of this renovation and reconstruction project Kuanta completed:

• Demolition and new structural work,
• New foundation drainage with a moisture protection system, 
• New roof with improved insulation and lightning protection, 
• Addition of new dining facilities, including an industrial kitchen capable of serving over 100 meals per day,
• Full interior design and construction of management offices, meeting rooms, a 150-seat conference hall, and personnel workstations with high-end furniture and office equipment, 
• New energy efficient electrical and HVAC systems, including distribution boards, redundant power supplies (generator and UPS), interior lighting, and ductwork,
• New audio/visual and IT installations in conference rooms, 
• New state-of-the-art IT and telecommunications infrastructure. 

Further, in order to obtain NATO Facility Clearance, Kuanta designed and installed new fire alarm and security systems, including security cameras, badge-card and fingerprint-reading access equipment, and automatic doors.
