As part of the renovation team for the Kurdistan Regional Government’s 2003 project to transform the exiting Iraqi Air Base into an international airport, Kuanta completed the following:

• Air Traffic Control Tower design and interior construction, including VCS, AFTN, and UHF/VHF radios, communication systems, remote control units, electrical/data infrastructure, and consoles,
• Navigational Aid (ILS, DVOR/DME, NDB) design and installation,
• Commissioning and Flight Check,
• System training and warranty management.

Completed on time, Erbil Hawler Airport has been operational since 2005 servicing domestic and international flights.
